Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
1 Thess 5:24 (KJV)
Fear and doubt are sins. That we should ever imagine that our Lord would leave us comfortless is a giant failure of faith. He Who gave His life that we might know life, has power, excellence, love and faithfulness beyond human imagination. God has more than earned our trust. Yet we remain troubled and anxious when the world is not as we want it to be. We live in Vanity Fair, known for its perils to the soul, yet we pine after forbidden things and wasting friendships with the damned who glory in their damnation.

What is the name of this sickness, and what is its remedy? Sin is the sickness, and its remedy is the blood of the Lamb that washes away all sin. Without life in the vine, we wither and die, inside out. Without daily renewal, we rot. So let us daily embrace our Lord Jesus, and study the word of God, that our footsteps become secure and our life becomes a light that shines in this dark world. Today, if you find yourself fearful for or because of anything, remember these verses:

Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Psalm 56:3
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

Make these verses your heartfelt mantra when you are afraid, stressed or in any kind of distress. Wear them as a jewel about your neck, and let them rest as a crown upon your brow and you will be comforted.
