Anchored in the Lord

Anything that requires an anchor will drift if not kept in place. Your soul is no different. It travels. It goes with you wherever you go, and when you die, it will either ascend to Heaven or descend into Hell. Your soul has cognition. It knows what you know and then some, because it receives information from dimensions beyond what we see. It hears the voice of God and the promptings of demons. It is capable of seeing the world beyond, and at times the Lord allows it to travel through space-time, seeing past or future events, and remote places. Your soul has boundaries and is forbidden to seek or speak to the dead. The souls of people who don’t know the Lord can be hijacked and held prisoner by evil forces.

Jesus Is the Anchor for Your Soul

Because the soul is movable, it can be tossed about by doubts, abused, and oppressed. Praise God that we have an anchor that keeps our souls steadfast through the strongest storms, tempests, physical, spiritual and emotional disasters. Jesus is the Anchor that keeps our souls “steadfast and sure while the billows roll.” With our anchor held fast on the rock that is Jesus, we cannot be swept away. This is a blessed assurance, that God is willing and able to keep our souls safe in Him. Have you trusted Him to keep your soul. If not, do so. Today.

Until we meet again: “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10)
