The Gift

“Now Behold the Lamb” by Kirk Franklin

The Gift of Blessing

2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
2 Tim 1:1-3 (KJV)

What a precious gift that washes the souls of the people we love when we greet with love saying, “Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!” These words invoke power without measure in the lives of the people we care about. Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit empowers us to overcome all obstacles in life. It allows us to live in balance and consideration of others whether we are rich or poor. When we are in communion with the Lord, we move in harmony with His will for our life. That puts us in a powerful position to bless others. The Apostle Paul gives us an example of the level of care we should have for the people we love: He prayed without ceasing, remembering Timothy in his prayers.

We should do the same for all the people in our lives, and those who influence our lives, such as bosses, and leaders within our community, state and nation. As you go about your day, remember to pray always, within your hearts. Give thanks to God for all that you have and all the people you love. Pray for them. Shower them with grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, and watch them grow as a blessing to your soul.

Till we meet again: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ!
