The Word for Today Is #Handiwork

Your fingerprints are not the only part of you that’s unique and beautiful. The Lord took special care to craft every cell in your body, then poured special gifts to shine like diamonds, into your mind and soul. The Bible tells us that we are God’s handiwork. The original Greek word was not handiwork, but “poema” (poem). That means we are extensions of the mind, aesthetic, and vocabulary of God. That’s AWESOME! The word for today is #handiwork.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10 NIV

Because we are created in the image of God, we were created to be creators. But the things we create should reflect the Savior in Whom we were created. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5:22) should flow from our lives. So what will you create today? Will you make peace or create havoc? Are you planting seeds of unity or division? Will your footsteps be Christlike or devilish? The choice is yours.

Until next time, “Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!”
