God’s Time is Beautiful. (Who’s Time Are You On?)

God’s time is different from our time. But, the Lord takes  time to make sure that everything He makes is beautiful. Eccl 3:11 says:

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

The part of this verse that we wrestle with, though, is that He makes all things beautiful “in His time.”

Are Waiting for God’s Time?

Sometimes believers become prisoners of our own time. But, we all have deadlines we stress about, like when to file for taxes, pay a bill, or show up for an appointment. Many of our other goals have deadlines we control. But when deadlines with penalties arise, we want the Lord to hurry up and fix whatever’s wrong. We think we know when its time for a resolution of an uncomfortable situation. Then, our eyes glaze over when months and years pass and there is no change.

When God Says “My Grace Is Sufficient,” Are You So NOT Feeling It?

When we pray about things that cause us pain, we really don’t want to hear an answer like “my grace is sufficient, and my strength is made perfect in weakness.” But, we miss the point when we focus on what we consider as our point of relief, instead of what God knows is our point of perfection. After all, God’s objective is to make us more like Jesus, not a better version of ourselves. Jesus is altogether lovely, so being like Him is indeed beautiful. The next time you are tempted to stress about God’s time, remember that He is the great recycle-er who makes all things work together for our good.

Until we meet again: “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10)
