Hebrews 1: 10-14
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
Taking Comfort in the Ancient of Days

I love the image of the eternity of God and the fragility of the temporal world that He created: Like a garment it will fold. Imagine the magnificence, the power and the glory that will cause billions of galaxies to fold as easily as we fold our garments to put them away. The Lord, who created all order is in control of all things. When we trust the Lord, we need not fear neither man nor circumstance. The Lord our GOD is the “Ancient of Days.” He has made the years, and His years shall never fail. Let us praise The LORD and take comfort in His eternal being, power, grace and mercy unto us! Amen!
