Objects declare, show, or speak the “style” of the person who made it. People talk about an “artist’s touch” and you can often tell the author of a painting and by its brush strokes. Paintings by Picasso, Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Romare Bearden are vastly different in their style and beauty. Just as human artists and artisans impart their unique qualities, imagination, knowledge, skills, hope and insights to the works of their hands, so does God. Because God is eternal, has all power, and is everywhere equally present at all times, His works are evident everywhere. The works of God’s hands fill all of what we experience as reality, from the highest Heaven to the inner depths of planets and subatomic structures, matter and antimatter, to the timing of the human heart beat. All that we see in this world and the next bears the Creator’s stamp. That the Heavens exist is evidence that God is. The stars declare His glory. We should also. The word for today is #declare.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2 NIV
In what ways will you “declare the glory of God” today?
Until we meet again, “Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!”
Your friend in Christ,
Verneda
