Work-Related Stress is important, so I made a video about it. But, I learned something very important about myself while preparing today’s video. I didn’t start expecting new insights, though, Rather, I wanted to extend the function of yesterday’s video, about holding on to hope for success despite how others doubt you. As an extension of that, I thought I would do an educational video about work-related stress. I decided to base the video on a blog post I published yesterday titled: “Work Stress: How to Not Let It Ruin Your Life or Kill You.”
My Work-Related Stress Video Reminded Me I Love to Learn & Teach
But in the process of making the video, I discovered just how much I was enjoying the process. It brought back fond memories of when I did a lot of public speaking to educate communities about disease prevention, as young physician. I also gained a new appreciation for the seemingly endless hours I spent getting to know how to handle many different kinds of computer software. So, yes, my video took a fair amount of time to complete. But, I love that I met my initial objective of extending the channel of my blog post, while tying it to a video I did yesterday. The blog post inspired two videos!
Practice Makes Perfect (& that’s a good thing!)
I also deeply enjoy the fact that I’m developing excellence (practice makes perfect), while expanding my skills in video production. Right now, video is the HOT media strategy for building traffic and engagement, so what I’m doing now is gonna pay off BIG TIME!! I killed a whole lotta birds with that video stone. I think that’s some real lean learnin’!! Next time you’re making plans for your websites, consider using video.
Enjoy!!
