God Keeps My Way Secure (2 Samuel 22:33)

So, now that I’ve completed my move to SC, I have to sort through my things. In the midst of thinking about what to keep, what to throw away, and what to give away, I started thinking about the word “keep.” It occurred to me that there are so many ways to keep things. You can keep things on your property, in your house, in your hands or on your person. You can also keep things in your mind, your heart, or your mouth. Keeping implies security and requires strength. Weak minds, hearts, and mouths have a hard time keeping a secret or giving encouragement. Weak finances have a hard time keeping a home, property, and safety.

I am grateful that God is strong, and has good will towards men. We can trust that He will keep us safe and take good care of all that we have. The word for today is “#keep:”

2 Samuel 22:33

It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.

Until we meet again: “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!” (Ephesians 6:10).
