I come from a family of hot-headed individuals. I remember my Dad, (who was known for his lively personality and short temper), stirring a pot of his famously delicious gumbo saying “Patience is a virtue…Patience is a virtue.” Unlike my Dad, Jesus was very laid back, though he could get riled up when the occasion called for it. Knowing Jesus gives us access to calmness and patience (cheerful and hopeful waiting) at all times. The word for today is #patience:
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6 KJV
