Friday’s Prayer

“Psalm 8” by Richard Smallwood.

1 John 2:3-6 (ASV)

3 And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but whoso keepeth his word, in him verily hath the love of God been perfected. Hereby we know that we are in him: 6 he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk even as he walked.

Friday’s Prayer

Lord, thank you for the blessings of this week. Forgive me for the ways that I have not been mindful to redeem the time. Help me to be diligent to hear Your voice. Help me to be committed to learning Your ways and doing Your will. Help me to always be willing to be thankful for Your goodness and bless your name. Shape my thoughts to be of You always, and grant unto me a desire to love You with my whole heart. Thank You for your mercy LORD. Bless Your Holy name for You alone are holy, you alone are God, and You alone are good.

Make me a good steward of my talents and resources. Inspire me to work as unto you and not as unto man.

Teach me to be diligent to honor all my obligations to my family and others. Teach me to be a good steward of my gifts and finances. Help me to guard my heart with diligence.

Prosper Thou the work of my hands. The work of my hands LORD, prosper Thou it. LORD You have promised to perfect that which You have wrought for me. Help me LORD to never doubt this.

May all my friends and loved ones praise your name with a true and right spirit today, LORD. May we all in this nation glorify You for the magnitude of Your blessings toward us.

May we remember the poor and be willing to give aid to those in need. Grant us a heart to share one another’s burdens and to take the time to help others lift their cares up to You.

Guide our President, governors, senators and representatives LORD & all those who have the rule over us. Help us to obey Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy and precious name. May we ever increase in our knowledge of You, bear fruit unto all good works and live lives that are pleasing unto You, O Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray: Amen.

1 John 2:15-17 (ASV)

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Don’t forget to bless the name of the Lord and to be a blessing to someone today.

Until we meet again: “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10)
