The Word for Today Is #Liberty

Freedom in Christ is freedom within the limits of righteousness.

People make the mistake of thinking that Christianity is a narrow, uptight, lifestyle. The deeper I move into authentic Christianity, the more I can say that is not the case. Believers are free to do many things, but we are not free to rebel against the Word of God and the will of God. For instance, we are not free to have sex outside of marriage: A lot of people have problems with that one. We are not free lie, steal, cheat, live the life of a drunkard or be a slave to drugs. Such things are not freedoms at all, and they carry a high price for bondage to them.

Some believers try to straddle the fence, by engaging in forbidden activities, then confessing on Sunday, only to go back and do the same thing Monday through Saturday. Christ did not die so that we could cover our sin with lies and insincere lip service to righteousness. He died and rose again so that we know and live transparently in the liberties of righteousness. The word for today is #liberty.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Galatians 5:13 KJV

Until we meet again, “Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.”

Your friend in Christ,
